Abstract

A networked control system (NCS) is a control system where in the control loops are closed through a communication network. The distinct feature of a NCS lies in that its spatially distributed components, such as actuators,sensors and controllers/estimators, exchange data via a communication network. This offers great advantages over a conventional control system, making it possible to design a large-scale system.
