摘要

This review article to provide a comprehensive overview of exoskeleton upper limb systems, including their selection criteria, applications, mechanisms, merits, demerits, suggestions for improvement, and case studies. Exoskeletons are wearable robotic devices designed to enhance human capabilities, particularly in the upper limb exoskeleton. They have gained convincing attention in last few years because of their potential to assist individuals with physical disabilities, enhance rehabilitation processes, and augment human performance in various industries. It discusses key factors such as biomechanics, ergonomics, control systems, power sources, and safety considerations. Medical rehabilitation, assistive devices for individuals with disabilities, occupational ergonomics, and industrial settings. The review highlights the potential benefits and challenges associated with each application, providing insights into the current state of research and development. These suggestions encompass areas such as user comfort, adaptability to individual needs, intuitive control interfaces, enhanced dexterity, and prolonged battery life. The practical applications of exoskeleton technology in real-world scenarios, highlighting the positive impact on users' lives. Overall, this review provides a comprehensive understanding of exoskeleton upper limb systems, their selection criteria, applications, and suggestions for improvement. By synthesizing current research and case studies, it aims to inspire further advancements in the field and promote the widespread adoption of exoskeleton technology in various domains.
