摘要
Axiomatic design provides a framework to describe and evaluate a product or system design during the design process. One can easily find out the rational solutions behind the design and propose modifications to improve the design. The multi-parts integrated assembly and welding system based on multi-robots consists of several modules, such as welding robot, feeding robots, welding positioner and auto feeding equipment, etc. The design of these modules and the layout of the system are the key issues in system design. The design of a multi-robots integrated welding system for the handle of motorcycle using the independence axiom of axiomatic design was described. The mapping and decomposition process between the function requirements and the design parameters of the system and design flow were presented. And the optimized design of the auto feeding module using the information axiom was elaborated. The results show that the design was reasonable and could satisfy the independence axiom.
