摘要
Human–robot collaboration, or HRC, has become a game-changing strategy in contemporary manufacturing, facilitating the integration of robots and humans in shared workspaces. This paradigm shift offers immense potential for enhancing productivity, flexibility, and safety in manufacturing environments. However, realizing the full benefits of HRC requires overcoming complex challenges related to safety, cognitive compatibility, and technical integration. This chapter explores the challenges and opportunities of integrating soft computing algorithms in HRC systems to enable human–robot cooperation that is both safe and effective. We analyze the key challenges in HRC, including safety considerations, cognitive compatibility, and technical integration issues. Additionally, we explore the potential offered by soft computing methods like artificial intelligence, machine learning, fuzzy logic, and evolutionary algorithms in addressing these challenges. Through case studies and real-world examples, we illustrate the application of soft computing algorithms in various HRC scenarios, highlighting their efficacy in enhancing collaboration and performance. Finally, we discuss future directions and research challenges in leveraging soft computing for advancing HRC in manufacturing environments, paving the way for a new era of human–robot cooperation in Industry 6.0 and later stages.
