Design and Research of Transmission Line Deicing Robot

摘要
In view of the fact that high-voltage transmission lines in northern cities of China are prone to icing in winter, the traditional manual deicing is inefficient and dangerous. This paper proposes a power transmission line deicing robot using a six rotor UAV equipped with deicing device. The robot adopts mechanical deicing mode. When the end face of the deicing milling cutter contacts with the icing through the pitch adjustment system, the motor works, and then the icing on the wire is milled off. In addition, the distance adjustment system can adjust the distance between two milling cutters to adapt to different specifications of power transmission lines. Compared with the traditional deicing robot, the most important feature of the deicing robot is that it is combined with the UAV, which is convenient to manipulate and control the working position of the robot and the whole robot.In this paper, the deicing device, six rotor UAV, and deicing milling cutter of the deicing robot are first designed, and the three-dimensional model of the deicing robot is established using Solid Works software. Then the strength of the milling cutter, the key component of the deicing robot, is analyzed using ANSYS workbench software. The results show that the designed structures meet the strength requirements.
