Yandong Zhao is a pioneering thoracic surgeon whose work has fundamentally advanced the application of robotic surgery for complex lung cancer procedures. His research is concentrated at the intersection of minimally invasive thoracic surgery, oncological outcomes, and surgical technique innovation — with a particular focus on robotic-assisted sleeve lobectomy for centrally located non-small cell lung cancer.
