Dr. Won-Gun Yun is a pioneering surgeon whose research focuses on advancing minimally invasive surgical techniques for hepatobiliary and pancreatic cancers, with a particular emphasis on robotic-assisted procedures. His major contributions include demonstrating the oncologic safety of robotic extended cholecystectomy for gallbladder cancer and establishing the feasibility of robot-assisted pancreaticoduodenectomy (RPD) for complex pancreatic malignancies.
