About
Jin‐Young Jang is a pioneering hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgeon whose research has fundamentally shaped the field of minimally invasive pancreatic and liver surgery. His major contributions center on establishing evidence-based guidelines and comparative outcomes for robotic versus laparoscopic approaches in complex procedures. Jang led the development of the Brescia Internationally Validated European Guidelines on Minimally Invasive Pancreatic Surgery (EGUMIPS, 117 citations) and the International Consensus Guidelines on Robotic Pancreatic Surgery (46 citations), providing the first robust frameworks for safe adoption of these techniques.
