About
W. Bruce Banerdt is a planetary scientist whose career has been defined by a singular, ambitious goal: unlocking the deep interior secrets of Mars. As the Principal Investigator of NASA's InSight mission, he led one of the most technically sophisticated planetary geophysics efforts ever undertaken, deploying the first dedicated Martian seismometer since the Viking program's largely inconclusive attempt in 1976.
