Vincent Mor is a leading voice in the epidemiology and health services research of aging, with a career dedicated to transforming long-term care. His work fundamentally shaped our understanding of nursing home quality, patient outcomes, and the systemic challenges facing an aging population. With over 400 peer-reviewed papers and more than 30,000 citations, Mor’s research has been instrumental in developing the Minimum Data Set (MDS), a standardized assessment tool now used across U.S. nursing homes to measure resident health and drive quality improvement. His landmark studies on the relationship between staffing levels, facility ownership, and patient mortality have directly influenced federal and state regulatory policies.
