Tamara Rogers is a pioneering researcher in human-robot interaction (HRI) and cognitive robotics, whose work has fundamentally shaped how robots perceive, model, and engage with human partners. Based at Vanderbilt University's Intelligent Robotics Laboratory, Rogers made landmark contributions through her development of the ISAC (Intelligent Soft-Arm Control) humanoid system and its accompanying Intelligent Machine Architecture (IMA), work that has garnered over 77 citations and remains a cornerstone reference in HHI research.
