Shih-Chieh Chang is a leading innovator in flexible and wearable sensor technology, with a primary research focus on developing advanced tactile and temperature sensing systems for robotics and human-machine interfaces. His most significant contribution is the pioneering work on integrated flexible sensing arrays, as demonstrated in his highly cited 2007 paper (164 citations), which introduced a novel method for fabricating a combined temperature and tactile sensor array using PI-copper films.
