About
Shasha He is a leading innovator in the field of advanced functional materials and self-powered sensing systems, with a primary focus on gas detection technologies for environmental and safety monitoring. Her most impactful work centers on the development of high-performance, room-temperature gas sensors, exemplified by her highly cited 2024 study on a CuO/TiO₂/MXene-based sensor. In this research, He engineered a sensor capable of detecting trace ethanol with exceptional precision, achieving a response value of 95% at just 1 ppm, an ultra-low detection limit of 0.3 ppm, and rapid response/recovery times of 16 and 13 seconds, respectively. This work, which has garnered 95 citations, represents a significant breakthrough in creating stable, energy-efficient sensors for real-world applications. He further advanced the field by integrating this sensor with a sliding-mode triboelectric nanogenerator (SMS-TENG) array into inspection robots, enabling self-powered ethanol detection and alarm systems. This innovative approach not only demonstrates her expertise in materials science and nanotechnology but also her commitment to practical, autonomous solutions for industrial safety.
