Shantanu Kumar Pani is an atmospheric scientist whose research focuses on the complex interplay of aerosols in the Earth’s atmosphere, with a particular emphasis on the optically and chemically diverse environments of East Asia and Southeast Asia. His work is critical for improving climate models, as he tackles the challenge of classifying and characterizing the myriad aerosol types found in these regions.
