Sepehr Nowfar is a urologic surgeon and researcher whose work focuses on optimizing perioperative outcomes in robotic prostate cancer surgery. His key research area centers on the safety and feasibility of continuing antiplatelet therapy—specifically aspirin—during robot-assisted radical prostatectomy. At a time when new cardiology guidelines recommended uninterrupted aspirin for patients with cardiac stents, this created a clinical dilemma, as aspirin was traditionally withheld due to bleeding concerns.
