About
Saleh Alabbad is a pioneering hepatobiliary and transplant surgeon whose work has fundamentally shaped the integration of robotic technology into living donor liver transplantation (LDLT). Based at a high-volume transplant center, Alabbad has built an internationally recognized research portfolio focused on robotic donor hepatectomy, recipient transplantation outcomes, and minimally invasive surgical innovation. His landmark 2020 propensity score–matched analysis comparing robotic versus open right lobe donor hepatectomy (104 citations) established early evidence for the safety and feasibility of a procedure once considered prohibitively complex.
