Sabrina Forveille is a leading researcher in cancer immunology and autophagy, whose work has significantly advanced the understanding of how to harness the immune system against tumors. Her major contributions center on two key areas: oncolytic peptides and autophagy modulation. Forveille’s landmark 2016 study on the oncolytic peptide LTX-315, cited over 129 times, demonstrated that this agent triggers immunogenic cell death by selectively permeabilizing mitochondrial membranes, leading to a potent T-cell-mediated anticancer immune response.
