S. Valenti is a leading figure in the field of active galactic nuclei (AGN) astrophysics, specializing in robotic reverberation mapping to probe the innermost regions of supermassive black hole accretion flows. As a key member of the Las Cumbres Observatory (LCO) Global Telescope Network’s AGN Key Project, Valenti has pioneered the use of automated, globally distributed telescopes for high-cadence time-domain studies of active galaxies.
