S. L. Marshall is a leading figure in the development of autonomous robotic observatories for time-domain astrophysics. His work has been instrumental in revolutionizing how astronomers capture fleeting cosmic events, from gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) to Kuiper Belt Objects (KBOs).
