About
Ryoma Kurahashi is a urologic surgeon and researcher whose work centers on optimizing surgical outcomes in robot-assisted radical prostatectomy (RARP) for prostate cancer. His major contributions focus on three key areas: mitigating bleeding complications, understanding the impact of patient age on surgical recovery, and refining oncologic strategies for high-risk disease. In a pivotal 2024 cohort study, Kurahashi demonstrated that thienopyridine-class antiplatelet agents (ticlopidine, clopidogrel, prasugrel) significantly increase bleeding risks during RARP, providing critical guidance for perioperative medication management—work that has already garnered 7 citations.
