Qingquan Luo is a leading thoracic surgeon and researcher whose work has significantly advanced the field of minimally invasive thoracic surgery, with particular expertise in robotic-assisted surgical techniques for lung cancer and thoracic oncology. His research systematically compares robotic-assisted thoracic surgery (RATS) against conventional video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) and open thoracotomy across a range of clinical contexts — from early-stage lung cancer to locally advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and thymomas.
