About

Pierre Delaere is a leading head and neck surgeon whose research has fundamentally advanced the field of transoral robotic surgery (TORS) for cancer treatment. His work centers on expanding the applications of robotic surgery, particularly for complex and recurrent head and neck malignancies. Delaere’s major contributions include demonstrating the feasibility and safety of using the da Vinci Xi system for TORS—a procedure not originally FDA-approved for this purpose—in a prospective study that has garnered 21 citations.
