About
Ovidiu Coste is a neuroscientist whose research bridges molecular signaling and spinal pain processing. His work centers on two key areas: the role of bioactive lipids in nociception and the systems-level analysis of ubiquitin ligase networks. Coste’s 2008 study on sphingosine 1-phosphate (S1P) was among the first to demonstrate that this abundant CNS signaling molecule directly modulates spinal nociceptive processing, opening a new avenue for understanding pain mechanisms.
