About
Osama Tabbara is a leading authority in the safety and automation of sterile medication compounding. His research focuses on the critical intersection of pharmacy practice, patient safety, and robotic technology, particularly within hospital settings. Dr. Tabbara’s major contributions include spearheading the first international recommendations for robotic i.v. medication compounding, a landmark work published in the *American Journal of Health-System Pharmacy* (25 citations). This study, developed with the APOTECAchemo user community, provides essential guidance for hospitals transitioning from manual to automated compounding, addressing workflow, safety, and implementation challenges.
