About

Neil E. Bowles is a planetary scientist whose work has fundamentally advanced our understanding of the interior structure of Mars and the distribution of water on the Moon. He is a key figure in the development and deployment of cutting-edge geophysical instruments for planetary exploration. Bowles made a landmark contribution as a co-investigator on the SEIS (Seismic Experiment for Internal Structure) instrument aboard NASA’s InSight lander.
