About

Mohamed Taha is a researcher at the forefront of applying artificial intelligence and robotics to solve practical, high-impact problems in document preservation and clinical diagnostics. His work spans two distinct but equally innovative domains. In the field of digital preservation, Taha developed the "Automatic Book Scanner" (2018, 7 citations), a robotic system designed to address the global challenge of deteriorating physical archives. By automating the digitization process, his work offers a scalable solution to the immense problem of discarded books and documents due to limited storage and maintenance, directly contributing to cultural and historical preservation. Taha’s most significant impact, however, lies in biomedical engineering.
