About
Miwako Doi’s research lies at the intersection of human-robot interaction, voice interfaces, and ubiquitous sensing, with a focus on creating robots that can actively listen and learn from human users. Her most influential work, “Design targeting voice interface robot capable of active listening,” has accumulated over 40 citations across its versions, addressing the pressing need for robotic assistance in aging societies like Japan, South Korea, and the EU.
