Michele Zuolo is a surgeon whose research focuses on advancing minimally invasive and reconstructive abdominal surgery. He has made significant contributions to two key areas: abdominal wall reconstruction and the surgical treatment of colon cancer. In a landmark prospective study of 110 consecutive patients, Zuolo investigated the THT technique for repairing primary midline defects with diastasis recti, providing crucial clinical and functional outcomes data that has garnered 29 citations.
