About
Masanobu Saruta is a pioneering urologic surgeon whose research centers on optimizing robotic-assisted surgical outcomes for prostate and bladder cancers. His work has fundamentally advanced our understanding of how surgical technique and perioperative care affect patient recovery and quality of life. Dr. Saruta’s landmark study on pentafecta outcomes—a composite measure of continence, potency, cancer control, negative surgical margins, and complication avoidance—demonstrated that nerve-sparing robot-assisted radical prostatectomy (RARP) significantly improves these critical endpoints, with 24 citations underscoring its clinical relevance.
