About

Mariah Sarwat is a rising investigator in biomaterials and tissue engineering, whose work is redefining how synthetic scaffolds communicate with cells. Her research centers on cell-adhesion peptide (CAP) screening, 3D cell culture platforms, and the design of bioactive hydrogels that more faithfully replicate the native extracellular matrix (ECM).
