About
M. Saiful Huq is a leading figure in medical physics, with a focused expertise in stereotactic radiosurgery and advanced image-guided radiation therapy. His research is pivotal in addressing the technical challenges of delivering high-precision radiation, particularly for complex anatomical sites. A major contribution is his work on the setup accuracy of spine radiosurgery using cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) image guidance, especially for patients with spinal implants. This 2010 study, which has garnered 30 citations, directly addressed a critical clinical concern: whether safe and accurate spine radiosurgery could be performed without implanted fiducials in post-surgical cases.
