About
Lanqing Wang is a pioneering analytical chemist whose work has significantly advanced the field of biomonitoring through high-throughput mass spectrometry. Her research centers on developing robust, automated methods for quantifying tobacco-related biomarkers and carcinogens in human urine, with a particular focus on nicotine metabolites and heterocyclic aromatic amines. Wang’s major contribution lies in integrating robotic sample preparation systems with liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS), dramatically increasing analytical throughput while maintaining exceptional sensitivity and accuracy.
