Konstantinos Pavlakis is a leading environmental physicist whose research focuses on aerosol-climate interactions, atmospheric optics, and the radiative effects of particulate pollution. His most influential work investigates aerosol physical and optical properties in the Eastern Mediterranean Basin, a region highly susceptible to both natural desert dust and anthropogenic emissions.
