About

Joana Santos is a leading researcher at the intersection of human-robot interaction (HRI), industrial ergonomics, and user experience (UX) design. Her work is central to the safe and effective integration of collaborative robots (cobots) into industrial workplaces, a key pillar of the transition from Industry 4.0 to the human-centric Industry 5.0.
