Dr. Jerrit Wagner is at the forefront of accelerating the discovery and optimization of next-generation photovoltaic materials, seamlessly merging robotics, machine learning, and materials science. His research focuses on the high-throughput development of organic photovoltaics (OPVs) and perovskite solar cells, addressing the critical bottleneck of parameter optimization in solution-processed thin films. Wagner’s most impactful contribution is the development of the SPINBOT, a fully automated, machine-learning-guided robotic platform that can intelligently and efficiently navigate complex, multi-dimensional processing spaces.
