About
J. Haislip is a versatile observational astronomer whose research spans an impressive breadth of astrophysical phenomena, from near-Earth asteroids and gamma-ray bursts to eclipsing binaries, active galactic nuclei, and variable stars. Working extensively with robotic telescope networks — most notably the PROMPT array at Cerro Tololo Inter-American Observatory and the Skynet Robotic Telescope Network — Haislip has demonstrated how small, automated telescopes can deliver high-impact, time-domain science across diverse fields.
