J. C. Kasper is a leading figure in lunar and heliophysics science, whose work has profoundly shaped our understanding of the Moon’s environment and its potential for solar observation. His most impactful contribution is his integral role in the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) mission, co-authoring the foundational overview paper that has garnered over 400 citations. This work detailed the instrument suite that revolutionized our knowledge of the lunar surface and polar volatiles.
