About
Hong Li is a pioneering surgeon-scientist whose work centers on advancing minimally invasive head and neck surgery through robotic innovation. Her research focuses on two critical areas: evaluating the long-term oncologic outcomes of transoral robotic surgery (TORS) and developing novel, cosmetically superior approaches for submandibular gland resection. In her landmark 2018 study, cited 45 times, Li conducted the first nationwide analysis comparing TORS with nonrobotic surgery and transoral laser microsurgery, revealing key insights into adjuvant therapy patterns and oncologic efficacy during the technique’s early adoption phase.
