Dr. Gyan Chand is a pioneering endocrine surgeon whose work has fundamentally advanced the field of minimally invasive and robotic thyroid surgery. His primary research focus is the development of scarless, cosmetically superior approaches to thyroidectomy, with a specific emphasis on robotic and endoscopic techniques. Dr. Chand’s most significant contribution is his seminal 2011 study on a novel gasless, transaxillary single-incision robotic thyroidectomy, which has garnered over 105 citations and established a new benchmark for feasibility and safety in the field.
