G. T. Delory is a pioneering space physicist whose research bridges planetary science and space weather, with a particular focus on Mars. His work has been instrumental in understanding how interplanetary coronal mass ejections (ICMEs) propagate through the solar system and impact planetary environments. In his highly cited 2011 study, Delory evaluated predictions of ICME arrival at both Earth and Mars, highlighting the critical space weather hazards these events pose for robotic and future crewed missions to the Red Planet.
