About
Dr. F. Espitalier is a leading head and neck surgeon whose research focuses on advancing transoral robotic surgery (TORS) for the treatment of upper aerodigestive tract cancers. A key contributor to the French Robotic Surgery Group of GETTEC, Dr. Espitalier has been instrumental in defining the oncologic safety and functional benefits of this minimally invasive approach. Their most influential work, a 2018 multicenter study on TORS for supraglottic squamous cell carcinoma (48 citations), demonstrated that robotic supraglottic laryngectomy achieves favorable oncologic outcomes, establishing TORS as a viable primary treatment option.
