Dorrie Main is a leading figure in structural genomics, whose foundational work has provided critical resources for the study of major agricultural species. Her research focuses on the construction and characterization of deep-coverage bacterial artificial chromosome (BAC) libraries, essential tools for genome mapping, positional cloning, and sequencing.
