About

Christine Lisetti is a pioneering researcher in affective computing, human-robot interaction, and socially intelligent agents. Her work focuses on endowing robots and virtual agents with the ability to recognize, express, and respond to human emotions, making human-machine interaction more natural and effective. One of her most influential contributions is the development of emotion-based control for cooperating heterogeneous mobile robots (103 citations), which demonstrated how affective states can resolve deadlock in multi-robot systems.
