Christine L. Mummery is a pioneering leader in stem cell biology and cardiovascular regenerative medicine, whose work has fundamentally advanced the use of human induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSCs) for disease modeling and drug discovery. Her major contributions include spearheading international coordination of large-scale hiPSC initiatives, as highlighted in her highly cited 2014 white paper (38 citations) co-organized with the Wellcome Trust and ISSCR, which established global standards for stem cell research.
