About
Christine Dominas is a translational researcher advancing precision oncology through the development of implantable microdevices (IMDs) for in situ drug sensitivity testing. Her work focuses on overcoming the challenge of predicting optimal systemic therapy for solid tumors, particularly in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and prostate cancer. In her landmark 2022 study, she led the first-in-human intrathoracic implantation of multidrug-eluting microdevices in NSCLC patients undergoing surgical resection, demonstrating the safety and feasibility of retrieving real-time chemotherapeutic response data directly from the tumor microenvironment.
