Andrea Sciacchitano is an experimental fluid dynamicist whose research sits at the intersection of advanced flow measurement techniques, aerodynamics, and fluid-structure interaction. He is best known for pioneering the combination of robotic systems with volumetric Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) and Particle Tracking Velocimetry (PTV), enabling large-scale, three-dimensional flow measurements of complex geometries that were previously inaccessible to experimental investigation.
