Ali Uneri is a biomedical engineer and robotics researcher whose work spans surgical robotics, medical image guidance, and precision instrumentation across a range of clinical specialties. He is perhaps best known for his foundational contributions to robotic-assisted ophthalmic surgery, particularly the development of the Steady-Hand Eye Robot — a micro-force sensing system designed to augment surgeon precision during vitreoretinal procedures, where manipulations occur at scales below human sensory perception.
