Ali Abdul Khaliq is a robotics and artificial intelligence researcher whose work spans two compelling and socially meaningful domains: culturally competent social robotics and gas-sensing mobile robots. His most celebrated contribution comes from the CARESSES project, a landmark randomised controlled trial exploring how AI-driven, culturally aware robots can support the wellbeing of older adults in care homes.
