Dr. Alfredo Alan is a pioneering volcanologist and atmospheric scientist whose work has revolutionized the study of volcanic emissions through the innovative use of unmanned aerial systems (UAS). His primary research focuses on in situ sampling and observation of hazardous volcanic plumes, bridging critical gaps in our understanding of transient, difficult-to-access airborne volcanic phenomena.
