About

Adam J. Burgasser is a leading astronomer specializing in the study of ultracool dwarfs—the smallest, faintest, and most common stars in the galaxy—and their role in the search for habitable exoplanets. His most significant contribution is the conception and leadership of the SPECULOOS project (Search for Planets EClipsing ULtra-cOOl Stars), a network of robotic telescopes designed to hunt for Earth-sized planets transiting the nearest ultracool dwarfs.
